Carving Pumpkins is as much fun with BIG kids as it was with the little ones

For Family Home Evening Danny and Ashley went to Safeway and picked up some pumpkins for us to carve. After some careful planning and sketching we all came up with a design that best fit our personalities. See what you think.
These top two photos are MY creation. I think I'm a better photographer than a pumpkin carver but who's judging?

This one is Ashley's artistic carving. What do YOU guess it to be?

Danny had a hard time getting an idea that he could really go with but decided in the end to take it home and work on it some more. His first idea was a "flying V" guitar but he couldn't decide how to make the "flames" so he settled for the Ninja Turtle look. Can't wait to see the final piece.

Dave created a kind of 3-D Bat inside the face. He ALWAYS outdoes the rest of us. That's why we don't make a CONTEST out of it. He would win every time...although Ashley would give him a run for his money. What an awesome evening we had. We had a hard time putting an end to this activity. Thanks Kids for keeping the tradition alive!

Is Ashley's a witch riding on a broom? That's what I think, and it's good! Good job guys! Pumpkin carving is super fun!
