A Winter Wonderland

You might agree , as you watch the nationwide weather, in some parts of the country "...THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL...." We have had our share of snow here in the Grand Valley! We live in the desert for pete sake. Where did all this snow come from? Dave has been working night and day to keep our streets safe but it has sure messed with his sleeping patterns. Today my Dr. decided that it was a "Snow Day!" and we headed home by 3 p.m. I didn't want Dave to work all day and have to come home and shovel off the driveway and go back out to work all night too, so I took an hour or more and cleared it down to the cement. I neatly piled the snow off to the side and even cleared the gutter so we wouldn't get stuck there going in and out of the driveway. I worked up a sweat for sure! Well, as I was shoveling and rather enjoying the experience I thought ... how long has it been since I built a snowman? Frankly I couldn't answer myself so I decided...it has been long enough. I set out with a little snow ball and rolled it around and it seemed to pack pretty well until I tried to make a base of it and then it crumbled. I decided to just work from a "cone shape" and form my snow man from there. This little "fellowshipper" won't win any prizes but he's kind of special to me. Tell me what you think!

Hope all is warm and safe in this tremendously "wet and snowy" winter.

Are you kidding me...what I wouldn't have given to see you out in the front yard, with your yoga pants on, no socks, platform dress shoes rolling around in the snow! I'm sorry I missed it. You did a great job though. Emma's lucky to have a fun Nana like you!

That is darling, Sue, I can just picture you out there in the snow happily building it all by yourself! You are such a trooper! The snow is beautiful.
