I had a decision to make...what to give him for his 50th birthday. I finally narrowed it down between two things. A Lazy Boy Recliner and a Road Bike. Believe me I was leaning towards the recliner because we have very little in the way of furniture and that chair would benefit ALL OF US. Well that was a little selfish of me and besides I didn't want to launch Dave into his 50's in a LAZY BOY! I could have sent the wrong message to him and I might have regretted that move for the rest of my life. Dave has wanted a road bike for several years and looking back on the last year...he really needed the bike more than the recliner. Here's to family, good health and happy peddling!
Happy Birthday Dave...I'm looking forward to our next 50 years!!
He couldn't believe his eyes when the hostess of Johnny Corrino's restaurant wheeled out his bike for dessert.

You should have seen the heads turn from the other guests of the restaurant when Dave's bike came rolling out. That just doesn't happen every day.
Dave's new biking shoes. These shoes are really slick (and I don't mean in the COOL sort of way...I mean SLICK in the slip and fall on your butt sort of way). He said he nearly lost it in the bike shop when he went to pick them and his peddles out.
Ready to ride for the first time. The weather has been so cold and wet that he had to just admire the bike from the other room in his studio.
Upon his return he realized that this bike is very different from his mountain bike. It will take a little getting used to but he loves it. (Of course he's going to say that...but I believe him.)
