THE LAST WEEKS OF SUMMER

We rented a pickup and hauled 54 boxes of peaches to NM to help offset the cost of the trip and we picked up Tiff and Todd's hot tub for some hydrotherapy for these old bones of ours.
Tiff and Todd saying goodbye to their hot tub.

Emma, Todd and Tiffany wishing us a safe journey. We will see them again in December when their little boy arrives.

Our hired hands on this end of the trip. Todd rounded up 8 people for the load and we only had 6 for the unload. 6 was NOT ENOUGH! This thing is HEAVY!

We went to John Paul and Shelby's wedding over the Labor Day weekend. It was a nice ceremony and we are so happy for them.

Aunt Shirline shedding a tear.
Josh loves his baby girl. He's such a good daddy.
Danny and grandpa Jay.
The Michael Van Wagoner family celebrating the first marriage of the family.

Amanda, Danny, Jay, Lynnette, Jake, Ashley, Kaylee, Josh. I love our family so much. I love that they are not camera shy. After all these years they know how I love to capture the moments with them in it.

Mother/Daughter
The man that puts the light in my life!

Jake in his busy schedule came by for a to-go box and a little visit along with Andrew Hermann.
The Newly Weds.

Brotherly love!

Wall to wall people and beds. Good thing we love each other.

Cheese!

Smiles everywhere.

Happy Girls!

Spaghetti Sauce EVERYWHERE! But so yummy! Just for the record if the recipe says cook 3 MORE hours....don't believe it.

Too much cooking makes much more clean up. Burnt spaghetti to the pan is not easy to clean up.
Ashley and I canned 31 pints of spaghetti sauce and 36 pints of raspberry peach jam in two days. I think it costs more to do this process but the bonding and the experience is worth it when you put the bottles on the shelf in the fall and reach for them all year long.
Our summer was packed full of work, fun, bonding, love and making memories. Thank you all for your contribution to our journey this summer. This is only the beginning as we have couples starting their lives together. We have so many exciting things we want to share with each other. I am truly blessed to be in the company of such great people!!

Just a recap...we went to Portland to visit Jon and Jen for the spring break and to get away from the dullness of the winter. Baby Kaylee was born Memorial day so we traveled to Vernal 3 or more times. Tiffany's birthday was June 29th so we made the trip to NM to be there for her weekend (sorry we missed yours Todd and Emma Doo). Danny and Ashley got married July 23. We traveled to Orem 3 or more times to prepare and celebrate with them and bunking up at Glenn and Shirlines house. Jake and Emma got married Aug. 14 which included 3 or more trips on their behalf as well. One more trip to NM to pick up the hot tub. John Paul and Shelby's wedding for Labor Day weekend brought a close to the summer travels and family visits. (I wish we could write off the miles traveled and get $.54 a mile! haha!) Canning brings on the fall so we got some of that out of the way as well. We have some more fall and winter activities planned but most of them only include the two of us but we look forward to next spring when we start the adventures all over again!!
